Can We Really Know God ?

Short answer - Yes. 

God has revealed a great deal about Himself to us so that we can not only know ABOUT Him, but we CAN really know Him.

We know God, in part, by His creation.

We know God more fully by His revealed word to us (the Bible). 

We know God even more completely by His revealed Word (Jesus Christ).

We know God more and more as we live out our lives in a relationship with Him.

We will ultimately know God most completely when He more fully reveals Himself in the future.

According to the Bible:

"...you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;" (Colossians 1:10).

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)

"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13)

Moses prayed: "Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight." (Exodus 33:13)

"...so that the nations may know Me,..." (Ezekiel 38:16)

"Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death," (Philippians 3:8-10)

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3)

"And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true;..." (1 John 5:20).
