ABORTION
The God of the Bible is the God of life!
God created human life.
Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."
God is the grantor of eternal life.
John 3:15 "...that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
John 10:28 "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;..."
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
1 John 2:25 "And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life."
1 John 5:11 "And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son."
God sustains life.
Colossians 1:17 "And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. "
Hebrews 1:3 "who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power,..."
In John 15:5-6, Jesus is the [life-giving and life-sustaining] vine, we [those that are born again] are the branches [that receive life from the vine].
God directs us to choose life!
Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;"
Death is separation. At physical death the body is separated from the real person. Spiritual death is best pictured as man being separated from the God who created him and loves him.
The initiation of life miraculously begins at conception. A mother is a trustee (a steward) designed and charged by God with safekeeping and nurturing that young life until such time when the baby is sufficiently developed to be able to survive outside of that wonderfully protective and nurturing environment.
Abortion separates the life of the baby from the life of the mother and takes away that innocent young life. There is no accurate way to describe abortion other than murder. God and His Word are being ignored, and woman's pleasure, ease, etc. have become of supreme importance (see humanism).
We need to know what God thinks and says - we have that revealed to us in the Bible. We need to care what God thinks and says - because God is God! and because there WILL be a judgment - choosing to ignore that fact will not change that fact! We need to heed God's Word - to listen and to obey. Broad is the way that leads to destruction; narrow is the way that leads to LIFE!
CHOOSE LIFE !
CHOOSE ETERNAL LIFE!
John 3:14-21 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
